FDA to discuss proposed produce food safety regulations

PULLMAN, Wash. – Food growers, packers and processors are invited to discuss food safety policy and proposed regulations with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration this month. Registration is required through Washington State University Extension at but the event is free to the public.

A two-hour session will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario, Ore. A day-long session will be 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Howard Johnson hotel in Yakima, Wash.
