PULLMAN, Wash. – Jan Keiser in international programs has been named to a two-year term on a national subcommittee that focuses on residency and employment issues concerning international students.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Fran Hermanson, a nearly 30-year veteran of data and analysis in higher education, is the new executive director of institutional research at Washington State University. Interim Provost Dan Bernardo announced the appointment, which becomes effective immediately, today (April 16).
PULLMAN — President Elson S. Floyd has moved toward completing his leadership team, naming two new administrators — a vice president for information services and a vice president for enrollment management.
Viji Murali (Mer-ahl-e), who has served as vice president for information technology and chief information officer for Western Michigan University since 1999, will assume the role of vice president for information services and chief information officer at WSU. John Fraire, currently the associate vice president for enrollment management at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., is WSU’s new vice president for enrollment management.

Gov. Christine Gregoire has reappointed Washington State University regents Elizabeth Cowles of Spokane and Rafael Stone of Seattle to the board for additional five-year terms.Cowles currently serves as president of the Board of Regents; Stone was her predecessor as president. Both were appointed to the board in 2000. Their new terms expire Sept. 30, 2010.Cowles is chairman of Cowles Publishing Co., a diversified family owned media, forest products, insurance and real estate company headquartered in Spokane.
