What is V-Day?
V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. The Motor Pool reminds Departments to schedule emissions tests and annual inspections for WSU department-owned vehicles.  Emissions tests are required for all 1989 to 2009 WSU vehicles.  Annual inspections need to be done on all university-owned vehicles. (more…)

There is still time to submit your photos to the Outdoor Photography Contest sponsored by UREC’s Outdoor Recreation Center and the Student Entertainment Board! Photo submissions will be accepted until Oct. 15 and may be submitted one of five categories: landscape, action & adventure, wildlife & still life, cultural and fun with light. The top 5 photographs in each category will be displayed on the ORC Gnome Facebook Page (facebook.com/orcgnome), as well as the Student Entertainment Board Gallery in the CUB. The photograph with the most Facebook “likes” will win the People’s Choice Award. (more…)

There will be a final U-Pick today from Noon to 6 p.m. for pumpkins at the WSU Organic Farm.  The sale will be inside the Tukey Orchard at the top of the hill.  There are many great pie pumpkins to choose from as well as a few jack-o-lanterns and colored pumpkins.

The School of Biological Sciences at Washington State University is pleased to invite you to our upcoming SBS seminar.

Susanne Von Caemmerer, Professor, College of Medicine, Biology and the Environment, The Australian National University will present “Impacts of temperature on photosynthesis and CO2 diffusion processes” next Monday, October 13, at 4:10 p.m. in Abelson 201.

Auditions will be held for Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of HANSEL AND GRETEL at Jones Theatre on the campus of WSU on Monday, October 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:45 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions. (more…)

This Saturday, October 11, WSU fraternities and sororities will hold the first Greek day of service of the year. Last academic year, over 2,500 WSU fraternity and sorority members completed 34,260 hours of community service, equating to nearly four years of continuous service completed by WSU Greek students alone!
