WSU Greek Community Makes the Palouse a Brighter Place through Service

This Saturday, October 11, WSU fraternities and sororities will hold the first Greek day of service of the year. Last academic year, over 2,500 WSU fraternity and sorority members completed 34,260 hours of community service, equating to nearly four years of continuous service completed by WSU Greek students alone! On Saturday, fraternity and sorority members will spend time socializing with localseniors, caring for abandoned and abused horses at Orphan Acres, socializing animals at the Humane Society of the Palouse, and constructing mountain bike trails on Moscow Mountain. These service projects are organized in partnership with the WSU Center for Civic Engagement to help WSU Greeks fulfill their mission of serving the community that gives WSU so much support.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
