Archived Submissions

The Student Financial Services Office does have an alternative option for students to contact our office due to the continued WSU system wide phone issues. Students who call the main number (509-335-9711) are hearing a message that we have been experiencing technical difficulties and are being asked to call a different number (509-592-4210).  The new number will connect them directly to our Communications Center. As soon as we have confirmation that all phone issues are resolved, the message directing students to the alternate number will be removed and we’ll be back to business as usual. Students can also email us at financial@wsu.edu or visit our website financialaid.wsu.edu.

Sincerely,
Student Financial Services

Reminder: The Financial Aid Census Date is January 22, 2016.

Click here to learn more about the Financial Aid Census Policy.

Key Points about Census

  • Full-time student? No action is required and there is no financial aid award impact to you!
  • Census Date: This is the day that WSU takes a “snapshot” of your enrollment for the semester. It determines what financial aid (loans and grants) you’ll receive.
  • Your Aid: Your Financial Aid Award will be recalculated (if not full-time) after the Census Date based on your Census date enrollment.

My name is Majid Dadgar. I am fourth year Ph.D. student in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Washington State University, College of Business. My doctoral research is about the role of information technology (IT) in the management of treatments and symptoms, and promoting healthy lifestyle for the patients with diabetes. The information technologies that can be used in the self-management range from using text message or phone call reminders to glucose monitoring systems for the diabetic patients and mobile apps. My research focus is on supporting human values important to the patients in designing systems and technologies. The opinions of the patients with chronic diseases are critical to my work and will greatly inform my research. (more…)
