WSU is bringing together several innovative faculty-resource initiatives under a single name: WSU Learning Innovations.
Learning Innovations—part of WSU Academic Outreach and Innovation—supports faculty both on-campus and online in increasing student success through technology-mediated instruction. It comprises:
- Support and training for academic technologies, such as Panopto and Blackboard Learn.
- Faculty-led workshops, offered in conjunction with the Office of the Provost and Teaching Academy, which give faculty members the chance to share successful classroom techniques.
- The Technology Test Kitchen, which evaluates new technologies and provides faculty a place to test them out.
- Management of classroom technologies in 125 general university classrooms in Pullman, as well as videoconference support and checkout of audio/visual equipment.
- Expert assistance with multimedia projects, videos, and copyright issues.
- Video tutorials.
- Online resources, such as the Excellence in Teaching Online Certificate.
- Support for the Digital Classroom Building.
Information and invitations regarding these resources will continue to be distributed through WSU announcements. However, those who want direct notifications of upcoming events are invited to follow the new WSU LI Twitter account and befriend the new WSU LI Facebook page.
