The Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) to address sex and gender-based violence is currently seeking nominations for student volunteer members of a new student subcommittee. The Student Subcommittee on Sex and Gender-Based Violence will provide a venue for students who are actively engaged and interested in addressing issues of sex and gender-based violence to learn about WSU’s prevention and response processes and to provide proactive, educated feedback and ideas to university administrators, to strengthen the university’s response and relationship with students. The subcommittee will also brainstorm how to effectively promote resources for victims and survivors and communicate the university’s prevention and response obligations. Student members of the subcommittee will gain valuable knowledge, skills, and insight into university response and processes, as well as have an opportunity to engage with university administrators and improve university processes.
Nominations are open to all undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on the Pullman campus who have demonstrated their commitment and skills to addressing issues of sex and gender-based violence. Potential members must be nominated by a member of the WSU community. Upon receipt of their nomination, students will be directed to complete an application for subcommittee volunteer service.
