Boeing president named as regent

OLYMPIA – Gov. Chris Gregoire announced on Monday, Sept. 10, the appointment of Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and chief executive officer Scott Carson of Federal Way to the WSU Board of Regents.

“Scott Carson has a deep interest in education issues and WSU has been an important part of his life ever since he graduated as a Cougar with his bachelor’s degree,” said Gregoire. “He will be a strong advocate for WSU and I am pleased to welcome him to the Board of Regents.”

Worthy named as member of WSU Board of Regents

PULLMAN – Michael C. Worthy, president and chief executive officer of the Bank of Clark County in Vancouver, Wash., has been named by Gov. Laura Jennings, a Seattle-area business consultant, has been appointed by Gov. Christine Gregoire, as the newest member to the Washington State University Board of Regents. Jennings currently consults for start-up companies in the Seattle area. OLYMPIA, Wash. — Francois (Fran) Forgette of Kennewick has been appointed to the Washington State University Board of Regents by Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire. Astronaut appointed to serve on WSU Board of Regents

John Fabian of Port Ludlow, a retired NASA astronaut, has been appointed to the Washington State University Board of Regents by Washington Gov. Gary Locke.Fabian, who earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from WSU in 1962, will replace William Marler on the board. Regent William Marler resigns to take state HECB post

Washington Governor Gary Locke this week announced the appointment of Washington State University Regent William Marler to the state Higher Education Coordinating Board. In accepting the appointment, Marler announced he will resign his post with the WSU Board of Regents effective August 15.Locke appointed Marler to the WSU Board of Regents in 1998 and again in 2003.
