Keiser appointed to international student employment board

PULLMAN, Wash. – Jan Keiser in international programs has been named to a two-year term on a national subcommittee that focuses on residency and employment issues concerning international students.

“This enhances Washington State University’s reputation with external constituencies, honors Jan and nationally recognizes her expertise in the international education field,” said Cheryl Hansen, director of global services.

Keiser, a WSU immigration compliance specialist, was appointed to the employment based subcommittee for the International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice Committee of the nonprofit NAFSA, which is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to international education. The subcommittee liaisons with the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
