In the days leading up to National First-Generation Day on Nov. 8, the WSU Insider is featuring first-generation students, faculty, and staff on each of the university’s campuses.
WSU President Kirk Schulz has honored 11 individuals as well as the entire clinical staff of Cougar Health Services for their leadership in safeguarding the university community this past year.
Patrick Lane was honored as this fall’s Chosen Coug Award recipient. Lane, who died of COVID‑19 earlier this year, was recognized for the distinct impact he had on his daughter’s experience at WSU.
This year posters will be viewable 3–5 p.m. on the second and third floors of the Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building off Stadium Way in Pullman.
