Walkers, runners and pedestrians will soon have a new pathway on the Washington State University Pullman campus.
A new six-foot-wide sidewalk is being constructed along Olympia Avenue, from the just-opened Global Health Phase Two building to Grimes Way.
Louise Sweeney with WSU Facilities Services said with the new buildings in that area of campus, Olympia Avenue has seen an increase in both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Pedestrians have had to share the road with vehicles, creating an unsafe situation.
The project, started in August, is expected to be complete by the end of October.
