College of Veterinary Medicine Research Symposium begins Oct. 20

Students present their research at the 2019 Fall Research Symposium inside the Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building on the Pullman campus.

Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting its annual Research Symposium on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

The event recognizes excellence in research across the college, from undergraduates to graduate students and faculty by allowing researchers to display their work publicly on posters.

This year posters will be viewable 3-5 p.m. on the second and third floors of the Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building off Stadium Way.

An awards presentation will follow and highlight researchers from five categories: undergraduate student, graduate student, postdoctoral researcher, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student and intern, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine resident.

Awards for the Dean’s Outstanding Junior Faculty Research Award presentation and the Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence will also be presented.

Zoetis, the world’s largest producer of medicine and vaccinations for pets and livestock, has supported the event since its inception.
