Lunch‑hour “flash talks”: Get tips for relieving stress, living easier

Get support for overcoming hardships. Connect with resources to help prevent mishaps. Gain insights to help make life easier and more fun. 

This week’s “flash talks,” short 10 to 15-minute online presentations, deliver a wealth of information for navigating life’s hurdles. Delivered by experts from across the WSU system, the flash talks are part of theannual Safety, Health, and Security Fair.

Talks will run Oct. 20–22 (Wednesday through Friday), from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. A series of flash talks will fill each one-hour session. 

New theme and new talks each day

For those seeking to optimize health, Wellness Wednesday talks tackle topics such as stress management, sexually transmitted infections, and natural product safety.

How-to tips fill the lineup on Life Essentials Thursday. Listeners will learn how to cook on a budget, check bike safety before a ride, and use a fire extinguisher, among other topics.

Fun Facts Friday talks will deliver a mixed bag of topics: healthy pets, field safety concerns in research, and treatment of alcohol use disorder, to name a few.
