Summer Session to begin one week later in 2022

Beginning in 2022, summer session will start a week later than in previous years on all WSU campuses. The 12 week session as well as the first 6 and 7 week sessions will begin on May 16. The last summer courses will conclude on August 21.

The decision to modify the summer calendar was made in consultation with academic advisors, faculty and students. The brief break will give students time to reset and prepare for summer academics. Additionally, because spring semester grades will post on May 10, students and academic advisors will have time to make better informed decisions about course selections prior to the start of the summer.

Summer 2022 sessions*:

SESSION DATES
12 Week/Regular May 16 – August 5
Early 6-week May 16 – June 26
Early 7-week May 16 – July 3
Late 6-week June 27 – August 7
Late 7-week July 4 – August 21
Intersession July 30 – August 21

*Dynamic Dated Courses can be scheduled outside the sessions listed above, with start and end dates between 5/16 and 8/21.

The summer session schedule of classes will be available December 1 and the Summer Session website will be updated prior to that time.
