Come join the Women’s Resource Center for an open house on Tuesday, August 19, from 2-4 p.m. We’ll be serving cake and celebrating our 40th anniversary on WSU’s campus. The Women’s Resource Center is located in Wilson-Short hall, room 8.

Join UREC and help celebrate the new school year at the Backyard Bash! Head on over to the Student Recreation Center (SRC) Backyard on Sunday, Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and see what fun UREC has to offer. There will be FREE BBQ, giveaways, music and fitness demonstrations. You can play on the sand volleyball courts, basketball courts and the challenge course! The Backyard Bash is a free event and is open to everyone! Be sure to wear athletic closed toe shoes to participate in activities. You won’t want to miss out on the fun. We’ll see you there! Student Financial Services (SFS) and its entire staff is anxious to “wrap their arms” around our WSU students and their families who need our help. Are you looking to get fit and have a good time? Registration is now open for UREC’s CrossFit classes! CrossFit is a broad and fun area of fitness that prepares its participants for any physical or unknown challenge. CrossFit Session I begins on Aug. 25. There is a variety of class times and days offered. Monday/Wednesday/Friday sessions cost $120 for members or $145 for non-members and Tuesday/Thursday sessions cost $80 for members or $97 for non-members.  Sign up now, registration ends September 7! The Museum of Art/WSU announces a retrospective journey in a Fine Arts Faculty Focus Exhibition by artist Ann Christenson, Aug. 18 – Sept. 13. An opening reception will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in the Museum of Art gallery with a talk given by the artist at 7 p.m.  Admission to the museum is free.

The CCE invites students, staff and faculty to join us during WOW 2014 to learn how you can get involved in your community this year. This year, the CCE will hold an open house on Tuesday, Aug. 19; will lead a visit to the Pullman Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, Aug. 20; and will hold a variety of one-time service projects on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Central Receiving has two FedEx ground boxes with incomplete delivery information. The boxes are from Panasonic North America, Anaheim, CA. The tracking numbers on the packages are 6543480 70674192 and 6543480 70674208. There is no packing slip; however the labels on the boxes say that the contents are ET-LAT100 REPLACEMENT LAMP UNITS FOR PROJECTOR.

The over-head walkway from the CUB Tower to the Football Operations Building will be completed this Friday, August 15, and the CUB Tower elevator will reopen Friday afternoon and be available for the weekend.  Thank you for your patience.
