Starting Thursday, August 7, 2014, traffic revisions will be in place on North Fairway Road between the new Residence Inn and the turn into Nez Perce Village (NE Fairway Drive). 1 inch steel plates will be placed across a section of the road in this area to facilitate the hauling of soil from behind the Residence Inn. Flaggers will be on both sides of the revision daily, beginning with the setting of these plates. The revisions will remain in place until at least the first week of September. Updates to this preliminary schedule will be provided via announcements as they come in.  Thank you all for your patience and understanding. GO COUGS!”

Central Receiving has five boxes from Nice Price Favors with incorrect delivery information. The boxes were addressed and delivered to Dining Services, but were refused because they didn’t order them. The packing slip describes the contents as item 6717 GLASS JAR WITH LOCKING LID – 400 each. Please contact Central Receiving if this order belongs to you.

This local session will instruct you on how to use EndNote and Microsoft Word to create independent bibliographies, format documents with in-text citations and a bibliography, and how to troubleshoot when you encounter problems using “Cite While You Write.”  You will also learn how to use the various Cite While You Write menu options, and how to edit Output Styles to get your document looking perfect. This Session takes place in Pullman on Thursday, August 14, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Originating in Pullman, this course is available statewide through Academic Media Services videoconferencing. This session takes place from 1:30-3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.

  • All departments must have 2 people who have been trained in inputting hours for hourly staff and reviewing gross pay for departmental employees.
  • You cannot access DEPTPAY without this training.
  • Authorized access to DEPPS is a prerequisite to attending this course.

There is still time to register for the Tour de Lentil taking place on August 23! The ride is held in conjunction with the National Lentil Festival and proceeds benefit the WSU Cycling Club. Participants have the option of doing a 50K or 100K ride. The course begins and ends at the Pullman City Playfields and is considered a ride, not a race. Registration is $45 and includes water and snacks at aid stations during the course and a BBQ after the ride. WSU Transportation Services would like to announce that annual parking permits for 2014/2015 will go on sale today. Permits can either be purchased online or at the WSU Transportation Services office located on the corner of Colorado and D Street. Permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Note: Students living in WSU Residence Halls may also purchase their permits online today.

The Organic Farm will be on the Mall this Wednesday again from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with fresh produce and sunflowers.  Tomatoes and green beans are on! And, we are taking orders for anyone wanting 10#’s or more of pickling cucumbers. The fuel pump station at the Grimes Way Steam Plant is having maintenance done August 4th and 5th.  Pumps 3 and 4 are out of service during that time.  Pump 1 is still in service for unleaded fuel users.  If you should have any questions please call the Motor Pool for more information 335-9085.  Thank you for your patience during this time.
