Fall in ❤ with Student Financial Services!

Student Financial Services (SFS) and its entire staff is anxious to “wrap their arms” around our WSU students and their families who need our help. We recognize that some of our students may still be sorting out details about their financial aid awards for the upcoming year.  Please use these tips as a starting place when trying to help students. To provide the best service possible to our students, here’s what the office of Student Financial Services has implemented to meet their needs.

Financial Aid Award Delivery

Student Financial Services will start disbursing financial aid to WSU students’ accounts this Wednesday, August 20. We’d appreciate you encouraging students to check their ZZUSIS and WSU email accounts to be sure they have taken care of business with our office, so their aid can deliver when classes start. Check our website at finaid.wsu.edu in the “Announcement” area for timely updates.

Customer Service

To reduce wait time when visiting or calling, the office has increased its capacity for more students and parent calls and is accepting and reviewing documents electronically at a faster rate.  Our SFS Communications Center is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm to assist with student and parent financial aid inquiries by phone at 509-335-9711 or email at finaid@wsu.edu.

On the Pullman Campus specifically, students can make in-person advisor appointments online rather than waiting in line by going to our website at finaid.wsu.edu.  All students and families will be personally greeted by SFS staff when coming to our office in Lighty, and they will be offered several options for service including:  scanning and electronically submitting documents, learning about self-help next steps, and/or scheduling a future advisor appointment if needed.

Thank You!

SFS appreciates the Cougar community’s patience as our office tries to serve students in an efficient and caring manner. Please direct students to visit their local financial aid office, call, email, or check the SFS website at WWW.FINAID.WSU.EDU when seeking help.  Go Cougs!
