The Washington State University Board of Regents unanimously voted to name the Pullman campus’ long-awaited indoor sports complex in honor of donors Scott and Lisa Taylor.
Board members are expected to vote on funding for several construction projects, including the demolition of Johnson Hall on the Pullman campus, and a $15 million renovation of the Phase One Building in Spokane.
Regents kick off a two-day retreat in Seattle on June 3. Discussions of the OneWSU system structure as well as what developments WSU Health Sciences Spokane will see in the coming years, among other topics, will be discussed.
Regents are expected to set tuition rates for the 2021–2022 academic year, review designs for WSU Vancouver’s new Life Sciences Building, and consider revised athletics budgets and financial planning, among other actions.
The naming of the football field inside Martin Stadium and halting the use of SAT and ACT test scores in the admissions process were among the actions taken by the WSU Board of Regents during its meeting on Friday, March 12.
