PULLMAN, Wash. – Ted Baseler, Washington State University alumnus and a leader in the Washington wine industry for more than 25 years, has been reappointed to his second full term on the WSU Board of Regents. Gov. Jay Inslee today announced the appointment, which runs through Sept. 30, 2020.

PULLMAN – WSU recently approved the addition of a wine business management major as part of the courses offered by the School of Hospitality Management in the College of Business. The new major will be offered to students beginning fall 2009.

PULLMAN – More than 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students are expected to participate in Washington State University’s 113th spring commencement, Saturday, May 9, at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.
Three ceremonies will be held.
At 8 a.m. graduates from the College of Communication and the College of Liberal Arts will receive their degrees. Bob Watt, vice chair and chair-elect of the Seattle Foundation board, chair of the White Center Making Connections Partners Group and vice chair of Thrive by Five, will be the featured speaker.

Spokane will host the next College of Business Power Breakfast, which will feature guest speaker Ted Baseler, president and CEO of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and WSU regent.
The breakfast will be 7:30-9 a.m. Thursday, April 16, in the Marie Antoinette ballroom of the Davenport Hotel. Tickets cost $25 and reservations are due by April 10 ONLINE

PULLMAN – WSU communication graduates are inspiring a new generation of professionals to reach for their dreams and remember their roots.
That is just one reason Seattle television journalist Kathi Goertzen and Washington businessman Ted Baseler were inducted into the WSU Edward R. Murrow School of Communication Hall of Achievement last week.

OLYMPIA – Gov. Chris Gregoire announced on Monday, Sept. 10, the appointment of Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and chief executive officer Scott Carson of Federal Way to the WSU Board of Regents.
