WSU-supported funding enables open access to spatio-cinematic research

Architecture, Film, and the In-between: Spatio-Cinematic Betwixt, edited by WSU faculty, Vahid Vahdat, is now available as an open-access publication. The full volume, along with its individual chapters, can be freely accessed and downloaded by readers worldwide through the publisher’s digital platform.

The open access publication of the book was made possible through the support of Ball State University’s Aspire Internal Grant Program and the Supplemental Research Funds Program from Washington State University’s Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships.

The publication examines the spatial intersections between architectural practice and cinematic expression, bringing together contributions from leading scholars and practitioners across multiple disciplines. Its open-access availability is expected to broaden readership and facilitate wider engagement with research at the intersection of the built environment and the moving image.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
