All WSU units are required to develop and maintain an Emergency Response/Action Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) under BPPM 50.39. A key goal for WSU when an emergency happens is to resume operations to normal levels as quickly as possible. Having a plan in place allows your department to better meet the challenges of responding to an emergency and resuming operations after a major event. Our goal is to have WSU become “event ready” so that we can continue our teaching, research, outreach and service missions with minimal interruption.
WSU Ready is easy to use and should require no advance training. This online, system-wide program will enable all WSU campuses, colleges, departments, units research and extension centers, and other WSU facilities to better prepare to meet the challenges of responding to emergencies and resuming operations after a major event.

All plans must be completed and submitted by Monday, October 1, through the WSU-Ready online system.
