Psychology Department Undergraduate Research Symposium – Apr. 21

WSU Department of Psychology presents Dr. Kevin S. Douglas, LL.B., Ph.D. as guest speaker for the Department’s Undergraduate Research Symposium.   Kevin S. Douglas currently is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University. He is also a Guest Professor of Applied Criminology at Mid-Sweden University, and a Senior Research Advisor at the University of Oslo. He has been at SFU since 2004, after having spent three years on faculty at the University of South Florida, in Tampa. Dr. Douglas received his law degree in 2000 from the University of British Columbia, and his Ph.D. in clinical (forensic) psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2002.

The Title of his presentation is “What do we Know about the Link between Mental Disorder and Violence?”   The presentation will be held on April 21 in the CUE 202 from 3 – 4 p.m.  Afterwards there will be a reception, undergraduate  research poster session and refreshments in the CUE Atrium.
