Graduate School new online orientation course

The Graduate School has launched a new online orientation course for new graduate students. The Blackboard course is organized into five modules and includes information such as an introduction to life as a WSU Cougar, tips for new graduate students, health insurance and services, details of assistantships and associated tuition waivers, and fun things to do on the WSU campuses. The course provides important information for graduate students at all WSU campus locations.

A committee consisting of representatives from International programs, graduate coordinators, faculty, and graduate students created the course content, which will replace the all-day workshops hosted by the Graduate School in the past. The course is open now to new students.

The Graduate School will be hosting a 2-hour meet and greet for new students during Week of Welcome that will include a community and WSU resource fair and the opportunity for students to meet Graduate School staff and other new students.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
