2025 W‑2 tax forms posted for those that opted for only electronic delivery

2025 W-2 tax forms can now be downloaded out of Workday for employees that have opted to only receiving electronic W-2s. Directions on finding and downloading the electronic copy of your W-2 can be found online.

For employees that have elected to “receive both electronic and paper copies” of their W-2, a paper copy will be mailed to the employee’s mailing address listed in Workday by Jan. 31. The electronic version will be available for download in Workday on Jan. 31. Please note that Payroll does not mail out replacement W-2 forms; employees will need to download additional copies directly from Workday. Electronic tax forms are legal documents that meet all the same IRS requirements as paper forms.

If you would like to plan ahead for next year and opt out of receiving a paper W-2 to have earlier access to the W-2 form in the future, please do so today!

In addition to providing a quicker and more secure way to receive your tax filing information, opting out of paper tax forms helps WSU reduce time and monetary costs, and furthers the university’s goals of creating a greener, more sustainable campus.
