Floyd on national panel aiding Ohio State with search

FloydPULLMAN, Wash. – Ohio State University will convene a panel of five national higher education leaders to help select its next president, and the group includes Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd.

“This is truly an all-star assembly of leaders in American higher education,” said moderator Richard Chait, professor emeritus at the Harvard Graduate School of education.

Bayly to chair Provost Search Committee

PULLMAN – Warwick Bayly, dean of the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, will chair the committee which will conduct
a national search for the successor to Provost Robert Bates.

President Elson S. Floyd announced the members of the search committee today (Jan. 16). Bates announced last week that he would be stepping down as provost as of July 1. He has served as provost, the university’s chief academic officer, for six years.

The search for a new WSU Tri-Cities chancellor will be discussed by co-chairs of the search committee, WSU Vancouver Chancellor Hal Dengerink and Kennewick School District Superintendent Paul Rosier, 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the East Building auditorium at WSU Tri-Cities.Committee members are seeking input from the university community as they craft a position description and develop the search process.

The Tri-Cities Chancellor Search Committee will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 18 to discuss the search for WSU Tri-Cities Chancellor. The meeting is open to the public.Meeting attendees will include co-chairs of the Tri-Cities Chancellor Search Committee, WSU Vancouver Chancellor Hal Dengerink, Kennewick School District Superintendent Paul Rosier and other committee members.The Chancellor Search Committee seeks input from the campus community as they craft a position description and develop the search process. This forum will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. on Oct. 18 in the East Building Auditorium on the WSU Tri-Cities campus.
