Learn kayak skills in Smith Pool

Start a new hobby or brush up on your old kayak skills by participating in Intro to Whitewater Kayak or a Kayak Roll Session.

The Intro to Whitewater Kayak course will take place on October 18, October 23, and 25 and will teach the basics of White Water Kayaking from certified instructors.

The three day progressive course will start at the fundamentals of gear needed for kayaking and will end with an introduction to kayak movement. No experience is required and all kayaking equipment and instruction is provided. The cost is $60 for SRC members, $75 for non-members, and registration closes on October 18.

Learn how to roll a kayak by participating in the Kayak Roll Session on October 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Smith Pool. The Roll Session is sure to boost both ability and confidence for all levels of kayakers. The cost is $8 for SRC members, $11 for non-members, and registration closes on October 21.
