WSU Vancouver Gallery Shows Feature Photography by Deon Reynolds

VANCOUVER, Wash. A new gallery exhibit at Washington State University Vancouver features the fine art works of photographer Deon Reynolds.

Situated in the Engineering Life Sciences Building gallery, “Between Washington and Oregon: The Columbia River” features images that explore the section of the Columbia River stretching between Washington and Oregon. Regarding his choice of subject matter, Reynolds explains, “The Columbia River’s myriad of environmental concerns, ranging from fishing and timber and the economy, to hazardous waste and the quality of its many sources, prompted me to take another look and celebrate visually its many offerings.”

Reynolds specializes in photographic fine art and is widely known for creating high-quality imagery for publishers and the advertising/design industry worldwide. Working with high-quality film and without filters, his images have been published in several photographic books, calendars and grace the covers of numerous CDs. The show will continue through the end of October.

Both galleries are open during building hours — Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gallery exhibits at WSU Vancouver are coordinated by the Office of Campus Advancement. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., Vancouver, WA. For more information, contact (360) 546-9600.
