WSU’s Interfraternity Council receives national recognition

The Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life (CFSL) is excited to announce that Washington State University’s Interfraternity Council (IFC) has been selected for multiple national 2025 IFC awards.

CFSL Director Dan Welter calls the awards very significant and said the WSU community can be proud of the IFC’s accomplishments and leaders. The awards include:

  • Outstanding IFC
    WSU IFC achieves excellence in overall operations, coordinates educational experiences, promotes safety and prevention efforts, and champions cooperative action among fraternities.
  • Outstanding Community Impact
    It is dedicated to student retention, community building, belonging and inclusion, men’s health and well-being, community service, and philanthropy.
  • Outstanding IFC Advisor
    Kayleigh Wright, CFSL assistant director, awarded for exceptional guidance and support to the WSU IFC community.
  • Outstanding IFC President
    WSU IFC President Kohl Hansen awarded for being a driving force for growth and positive change.

Russell Best, chief operating officer for the North American Interfraternity Conference, said that with nearly 600 IFC communities across North America, these winning selections speak volumes to the work WSU is doing to advance fraternity on campus.
