WSU’s fraternity and sorority councils receive prestigious excellence awards

Washington State University Pullman’s fraternity and sorority governing councils earned numerous awards during the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) Central Conference held in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jan. 30–Feb. 2.

WSU’s Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), which governs 14 culturally based fraternity and sororities on campus, was honored with the MGC Excellence Award for the first time since 2019. This recognition underscores the council’s distinction as one of the premier councils in the nation, triumphing over more than 60 other campuses. The award is reserved for the most elite governing councils that exhibit exceptional leadership and significantly impact their campus.

Similarly, WSU’s Interfraternity Council (IFC), which governs 25 fraternities at WSU, received the prestigious Jellison Award for the second year in a row. This recognition is awarded to councils that demonstrate exemplary leadership and significantly impact their campus.
