Retirement celebration for Professor Walter “Steve” Sheppard, June 21 at 3:30 p.m.

Join the WSU Entomology Department at a reception to celebrate the retirement of Professor and Thurber Distinguished Chair for over 28 years, Walter “Steve” Sheppard. The celebration will be in 166 FSHN (the Entomology Department) on the Pullman campus and on Zoom from 3:30–6 p.m. Honey bees and pollinators are integral to food production and our economy and are an essential part of our environment. Professor Sheppard’s research, teaching, and WSU Extension program are innovative and highly impactful. The results of his efforts have changed the behavior of beekeepers, growers, and the public in support of honey bee and pollinator health.
