Penultimate WSU apple sale Dec. 8 & 9

We are continuing both Friday and Saturday sale days this December! But apple sales will continue for only two more Fridays and Saturdays in December starting this week. No sales Dec. 22 and 23. We might be back with Friday-only sales in January but will wait to see what our supply looks like after December sales are over before we decide.

Think about using apples for homemade holiday gifts or for your own yummy food supply. Use your apples to make wonderful applesauce; dehydrated apples slices with a touch of cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on them;  or delicious homemade pies, crisps, cobblers, breads, or kuchen for holiday treats!

We still have lots of apples including McIntosh, Rome, Fuji, Jonagold, Gala, Golden Delicious, and Red Delicious for you to choose from. We also have a relatively full bin of “juice apples” (a mixture of all of our apples that are smaller or have “nicks or dings” on them) for only 90 cents/pound.

Fruit sale hours are:

  • Fridays: noon–6 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

If you would like more information about how to find us at 1452 Johnson Road inside Spillman Farm on the Pullman campus, or exactly what varieties of apples we have, please go to our website at horticulture.wsu.edu/orchard or see the list below.

Unusual apple varieties we have in smaller quantities: Empire, Jubilee, KAZ 96 09-05, Liberty, PRI 1346-2, PRI 1732-2, PRI 1775-6, PRI 384-1, Sungold, and WA 2.

Thanks in advance for your support of our operations!
