Aug. 16: Network connectivity outage planned

K20 network engineers will upgrade core networking devices that affect university connectivity, 10 p.m.-midnight, Thursday, Aug. 16.The planned maintenance will include a downtime of 5-10 minutes while the router reboots.

All WSU groups will be affected, both within the WSU Pullman community and among those external groups directing traffic into the WSU Pullman campus.

Redundant architecture within both the K20 network and WSU should prevent any significant impact beyond the possibility of a very short connectivity drop up to one or two minutes while new network paths are activated.  Customers who are employing applications sensitive to continuity, should plan on avoiding the use of those applications or pausing their work during the window.
