Good News! Financial Aid awards are in students’ hands

In early April, WSU students started receiving their 2016-2017 Financial Aid Awards. This is the earliest WSU students have had financial aid awards in their hands for the upcoming school year. Once a student has a financial aid award, an email is sent to the student to view their award on myWSU and to take action. Students can accept their federal loans right on myWSU.

Document Submission Deadline – Fast Approaching

Please encourage students who have been asked to submit documentation and/or forms to Student Financial Services (SFS) to do so right away to receive the most aid possible for the coming year. There is a priority submission deadline of May 15th. Documents can be submitted and forms can be completed on SFS’s secure, online portal at SubmitSFSDocs.wsu.edu.

2015-2016 Loans

The last day WSU students can request a federal loan for the current academic year is Friday, April 29, for guaranteed delivery of funds before the end of the semester. Please direct students to complete a Loan Action Request form on the SFS website (financialaid@wsu.edu) if they are trying to request a loan.

We are Here to Help!

If you or a student you’re working with has questions about financial aid and scholarships, please contact Student Financial Services by calling 509-335-9711, emailing financialaid.wsu.edu, or visiting your local financial aid campus office for assistance. SFS will be open all summer so don’t hesitate to reach out to our staff!  Students and families can also follow SFS on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for timely information and key updates.
