Flag Lowering

Governor Inslee is deeply saddened by the death of Washington State Senator, The Honorable Andy Hill, 54, and directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Monday, November 14, 2016. Senator Hill passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016, from lung cancer.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on November 14, 2016.

Please notify your staff and all of your field offices and facilities around the state.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church in Redmond. There will also be a memorial service conducted by the Washington State Senate on Monday, November 14, at 12:15 p.m. in the Senate Chambers.
