Deferred compensation plan and DRS presentations

Are you looking for ways to save more for retirement, while also lowering your current taxable income?  If so, please join HRS and the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) at one of the following presentations to be held on Friday, October 7, 2016, in Lighty 405.

  • Deferred Compensation Program (DCP): A flexible voluntary retirement account that offers the ability to increase your retirement contributions and to lower your taxable income. This plan is available to all faculty and staff regardless of what regular retirement plan they participate in (WSURP or a DRS plan).  Two identical sessions will be offered at:
    • 12:15 – 12:45
    • 2:15 – 2:45
  • Plans 2, 3, and DCP: This session will review PERS 2, PERS/TRS 3, and the DCP. Participants of Plans 2 and 3 will find this session to be of the greatest value.
    • 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Video-Conferencing of all sessions will be available to those outside the Pullman area.  Visit the AMS Calendar for room locations.  Additional site connections can be requested through AMS.Videoconference.Meeting@wsu.edu.

Additional information on the DCP can be found at www.hrs.wsu.edu/voluntary-investment-plans.  A second voluntary retirement plan, the Voluntary Investment Plan (VIP) is also available to WSU employees, with information also located at the above link.

Other valuable retirement planning information, and information on other upcoming DRS presentations can be found at www.hrs.wsu.edu/drs-retirement.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
