Academic Outreach & Innovation (AOI) kicks off its spring training opportunities on January 9. Faculty and graduate students are invited to learn about a variety of academic technologies and techniques that support and enhance student learning.
The spring training menu includes Blackboard LMS topics, general university classroom technology, active learning, videoconferencing as well as a variety of educational technology. Other training opportunities include faculty-led workshops, brown bags and in-depth academic technology forums.
The first faculty-led workshop, How to Motivate Students to Work Harder in Your Course, will be conducted by Tom Tripp, Carson College of Business associate dean, at noon on January 10. Plan to join us to learn about two well-tested theories of motivation in the classroom environment. The workshop will be available face-to-face on the Pullman campus in CUE 518 (lunch provided) and via livestream.
