Say “Not Me” to Type 2 diabetes!

WSU is hosting a pre-diabetes testing event today, November 4^th, as well as November 19^th in Butch’s Den at the CUB on the Pullman campus. If you are already planning on attending the Benefits Fair in the CUB Jr. Ballroom, come to the NOT ME event as well!

If you are not able to take the following steps prior to coming to the CUB, walk-ins are welcome!

Step 1: Prior to attending the event, take the online quiz to see if you are at risk.
Step 2: If you are, you can reserve a testing slot at one of the events by typing: http://hca.uswappointment.com into your browser. Remember, walk-ins are also welcome.
Step 3: If the screening shows you are pre-diabetic, you will be given the opportunity to meet with a health coach and discuss next steps.

Your PEBB insurance will cover the cost of the event. Please coordinate with your supervisor the best time to take release time from your work day to participate. Release time is allowed in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 13-06.

Spanish, bilingual course from WSU Extension creates climate ambassadors

To reach thousands of northwestern Washington residents who do not speak English fluently, WSU Extension is offering new environmental educational programs in Spanish.
