Preparations are underway for the iconic All Campus Picnic, which is set to take place from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15.
WSU’s Fall Commencement Ceremony begins at 10 a.m., with doors at Beasley Coliseum opening two hours prior. The event is free and open to the public. It will also be livestreamed.
Events celebrating the return of thousands of students to WSU campuses across the state are taking place throughout the month of August.
The pungent aroma of Titan VanCoug is expected to return to the Vancouver campus in just a few weeks time.
Among the more than 4,400 anticipated graduates, bachelor’s degree recipients are leading the way, with 3,447 applying to graduate across six campuses.
Graduates and their families will gather inside Beasley Coliseum for Fall Commencement, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Events hosted throughout November will range from meals centered on traditional ingredients to talks and film screenings about the cultures and histories of regional Tribes and Native Nations.
Flash talks, a blood drive, a resource fair, and the President’s Awards Ceremony are all taking place as part of this year’s event.
After helping thousands of students afford college, Seattle investor and philanthropist Gary Rubens will fulfill a lifelong personal goal and graduate from WSU this spring.
