The Washington State University Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is accepting applications for new members for the upcoming academic year.
CSW is a university-wide advisory body that examines policies, practices, and campus climate issues related to gender equity and provides recommendations to university leadership. The commission supports WSU’s land-grant mission by promoting access, inclusion, and institutional accountability across the university.
We welcome participation from all faculty, staff, and students. Selection is based on a shared interest in our mission, diverse lived or professional experiences, and a commitment to the commission’s goals. Members typically serve two-year terms, while undergraduate roles are designed as one-year terms to better accommodate the student experience. To ensure a collaborative and impactful environment, all members are invited and expected to engage, to the extent possible, fully in our monthly meetings, working groups, and ongoing activities.
Individuals interested in serving are encouraged to apply using the online form. The call for membership is open until Sunday, May 10.
Questions may be directed to the current chair, Chelsea Leachman, chelsea.leachman@wsu.edu.
