‘Productive Struggle: What Matters Most When Creating Academically Rigorous Learning Environments’

On April 19, from 3–4:30 p.m., two members of the instructional design team will moderate a panel conversation with three members of WSU’s faculty. The topic is, “Productive struggle: A conversation around what matters most when creating academically rigorous learning environments.”

Please join the Learning Innovations team for a Special Topics event that we are especially excited about! Instructional designers Brian Malone and Lindsay Barkley-Clausen will be moderating a conversation with a panel of three outstanding members of the WSU faculty. Professors Erika Offerdahl (Molecular Biosciences), Kate Watts (English), and Paul Krouss (Mathematics) will join us in conversation on what it means to create academically rigorous learning environments while mindfully removing barriers to student success. After the panel conversation, we will invite audience members for a Q&A session. We cannot wait to share this timely conversation with all of you, and we hope you join us over Zoom for the event.

Register by visiting the Training Offerings page and selecting the button to “View and register for upcoming trainings.”
