Dec. 6: Fiddler Geoffrey Castle brings Celtic holiday to WSU

By Gail Siegel, WSU Performing Arts PULLMAN, Wash. – Back by popular demand, “twisted fiddler” and master of the electric six-string violin Geoffrey Castle will bring his exuberant Celtic holiday celebration to Washington State University at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in Daggy Hall’s Jones Theatre.

Dec. 11-13: Theater classic ‘Our Town’ on stage at WSU

By Gail Siegel, WSU Performing Arts PULLMAN, Wash. – Described by playwright Edward Albee as “the greatest American play ever written,” “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder will be performed Dec. 4-6 and 11-13 in Wadleigh Theatre, Daggy Hall, Washington State University. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Feb. 5: Slave’s true story brought to life on stage

PULLMAN, Wash. – In association with Young Audiences New York, Washington State University Performing Arts presents the Literature to Life® stage production of “Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl,” by Harriet Jacobs, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, in Daggy Hall’s Jones Theatre.

Nov. 1: Improv comedy takes on Shakespearean themes at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. – Starting with just one audience suggestion, a title for a play that has yet to be written, the Improvised Shakespeare Company (http://www.improvisedshakespeare.com/) will create a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in Daggy Hall’s Jones Theatre at Washington State University.
