Behavioral interviewing helps employers find best candidates

SPOKANE, Wash. – Demand for training in behavioral interviewing is on the rise as employers increase hiring following the recession. A workshop on this method will be held 8-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at 665 N Riverpoint Blvd. There is no cost but pre-registration is requested at http://wsbdc.org/training-calendar.

Behavioral interviewing is based on the premise that past behavior predicts future behavior. The likelihood of success for a job candidate is assessed by soliciting examples of past job performance and evaluating them in light of new job requirements.
