“Two cities, two universities—one community,” is an effort showing that WSU and the University of Idaho as well as the cities of Pullman and Moscow are all in the fight against COVID‑19 together.
WSU is encouraging all students in Pullman to get tested for COVID‑19 this month, regardless of whether they are experiencing symptoms. Testing is free. Students only have to bring their Cougar Card.
The University is paying for tests for students and making it as straightforward as possible to receive one, WSU President Kirk Schulz said during Thursday’s COVID‑19 town hall.
The hour‑long town hall begins at 4 p.m. Topics include WSU’s COVID‑19 testing efforts, the fall 2020 semester so far, and available services for students including academic advising, tutoring and mental health support.
The near-empty Pullman campus was an unusual sight for the opening of a new academic year, but it doesn’t mean students, faculty and staff aren’t already hard at work.
