Pullman businesses and ASWSU team up for fundraiser

The Pullman business community and the Associated Students of Washington State University are teaming up to raise money for mental health resources and sexual violence prevention.

Merchants participating in the fundraiser, called “2 weeks of Pullman,” will donate 3 to 7 percent of their sales during the event to the Coug Health Fund, an ASWSU student-led subsidy of the nonprofit WSU Foundation.

The event also is designed to help promote Pullman businesses within the student population. The goal is to raise $10,000 while unifying the Pullman and WSU communities.

Participating businesses will display the “2 weeks of Pullman” event logo on their windows and ASWSU will advertise the event on campus and their social media sites.
