EVERETT, Wash. – Water quality, quantity and rights information for landowners will be presented at the workshop “H2O-Managing Your Water Resources” 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Cougar Auditorium, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.

Topics will include: Washington water law and rights, using snowpack and other forecasts to plan for flooding and drought, improving water quality on and off your land, and how Snoqualmie Valley started its own water improvement district to bank and share water rights.
Speakers will include: Bob Simmons, WSU Extension Olympic region water resources specialist; Scott Patee, U.S. Natural Resources Conservation Service forecasting expert for the Skagit watershed; John Rose, hydrologist and geographic information system analyst with the state Department of Ecology’s water resource program; and Cynthia Krass, member of the Snoqualmie Valley Watershed Improvement District.
The workshop is sponsored by Snohomish Conservation District and WSU Snohomish County Extension.
