Update: Workday service restored

A data center power outage left WSU without access to Workday much of Thursday.

Service was restored by 2:30 p.m. The university’s Modernization team worked with Workday staff throughout the day to help address issues and posted regular updates to its website.

The disruption was related to a power outage at the Workday data center. After power was restored to the data center the company had to initiate what was described as a full-stack restart of all customer tenants.

“Modernization apologizes for the frustrations experienced due to this outage,” the unit said on its website. “We are aware that today is paylock and Payroll Services are being kept informed of the situation.”
