UPCEA awards WSU Everett silver for marketing excellence

Washington State University Everett was recently recognized with a silver award in the Online and Professional Education Association 2023 Excellence in Marketing Awards for its recent campaign, “Education That Works with You.”

Presented by UPCEA, the award celebrates educational institutions’ innovative and effective marketing efforts. Amidst a plethora of high-quality submissions, WSU Everett’s campaign distinguished itself, emphasizing the university’s commitment to offering accessible, affordable bachelor’s degrees tailored to the evolving needs of the North Puget Sound region.

The campaign highlighted WSU Everett’s role as an innovative educational institution, offering programs aligned with career opportunities and personal growth. The campaign utilized hyper-personalized, hyper-local geotargeting and geofencing advertising tactics, ensuring the target audience was reached effectively. The integrated marketing approach spanned branded content, radio/podcast advertising, OTT/streaming ads, and digital, social, and print advertising.

“This award underscores our commitment to ensuring every student who desires a bachelor’s degree has access to a transformative college experience,” said Corrie Wilder, the campus’s executive director of marketing and communications. “‘Education That Works with You’ isn’t just a campaign. It’s our promise to stand beside each student, understanding and addressing their unique needs. This recognition is a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication that defines WSU Everett. Our students deserve our utmost dedication, and we’re proud to deliver on that promise.”

The award will be presented at the 2023 MEMS Conference in Portland, Oregon, to be held from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1. Award recipients will share their insights with conference attendees in an interactive panel.
