“Management Matters for Soil Health,” a workshop designed for farmers and interested residents in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, will be presented by Washington State University Extension, 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Banyan’s Pavilion.
The workshop will cover management insights on cropping systems and earthworms, nutrient cycling and management, organic matter and organic amendments. It also will feature a panel of local growers discussing how they manage for soil health on their farms.
Speakers from WSU, the University of Idaho and the U.S. Department of Agriculture will highlight their research-based management recommendations.
This workshop has been approved for seven Certified Crop Advisor credits. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided with registration.
