Faculty urged to order textbooks early to save students money

By Todd Mordhorst, Office of the Provost

The Bookie is accepting textbook orders for the spring 2019 semester through Oct. 31.

Priority registration begins Nov. 5 for returning students.

The early textbook order deadline enables students to know the cost of materials for courses they register for, in compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act. Early textbook orders also allow students to receive the maximum buy-back price for their books and enable students to prepare in advance for the upcoming semester.

Staff from the Bookie will be around campus meeting with departments to help answer questions and discuss the benefits of Faculty Enlight, open education resources and the first day (direct digital access) program. For further information, see the open education resources page on the Office of the Provost’s website.

For questions about textbook orders, contact textbook manager Demetrius Griffin, 509‑332‑2537, ext. 124, tmo50@bncollege.com.
