Military hero, WSU alumnus, presented Medal of Honor

President Donald Trump on Oct. 1 presented the Medal of Honor to former U.S. Army medic and Green Beret Ronald Shurer II, who saved numerous soldiers’ lives during a battle with terrorists in Afghanistan in 2008. Shurer, a WSU alumnus (’01 business economics), currently is a Secret Service agent and is fighting a battle with cancer.
